The Pretoria Magistrate’s Court is set to hand down judgment on Wednesday on the bail application of Fannie Nkosi.
Sergeant Nkosi is facing multiple charges, including theft of firearms and ammunition, defeating the ends of justice, possession of unlicensed ammunition, possession of explosives, and possession of a stun grenade.
The charges stem from a police operation at Nkosi’s home, where authorities reportedly recovered unlicensed ammunition and a state-issued hand grenade.
The State previously opposed bail, arguing that further investigations are still underway. The court’s decision will determine whether Nkosi remains in custody or is released on bail as the case continues.
