Another woman has allegedly died at the hands of her boyfriend in a village near Matatiele over the weekend. This time, it is Retsepile Khutlang 25, who died after reportedly being stabbed by her boyfriend. The incident happened at Khauoe Location on Saturday night.
According to the headman of the area, the boyfriend arrived at a certain homestead where his girlfriend was socialising with her friends. He allegedly demanded that they go home together, but the girlfriend refused. It is alleged that he then stabbed her three times before fleeing the scene.
The headman said the suspect is a well-known resident in the area. “His whereabouts are currently unknown as he ran away after stabbing his girlfriend. Even the police are looking for him,” said the headman.
The village where the incident occurred is not far from KwaNkau and Mpharane villages, where two other women were recently killed by men.
The woman who was killed at KwaNkau was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend, while Nthabiseng Sello, who was killed in Mpharane, was allegedly murdered by unknown men.
