Former Big Brother star Thato Immaculate Mthombeni (née Mokoena) has officially confirmed her separation from her husband, Brandon ‘Gash1’ Mthombeni, after three years of marriage—leaving fans stunned.
Thato confirmed their split in an official media statement released on Saturday, sending shockwaves through their fanbase, affectionately known as “Tash1.”
“After three years of marriage, Gashwan Brandon Mthombeni and I are no longer together. Following incidents that happened in the past few days that are irreconcilable by my standards and values, I have made the decision to walk away,” she said.
The announcement quickly sparked speculation online, with many suggesting that infidelity may have played a role in the breakup. However, Thato firmly dismissed those claims.
“I respectfully ask that this does not turn into a Thato and Gash1 battle. We met, fell in love and tried building a family to the best of our abilities. For me, I am heartbroken, but I need to soldier on and continue working,” she added.
