The Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit in Gqeberha is appealing to the public for assistance in locating 10-year-old Jerildene Seekooi, who was reported missing on 11 June 2026.
Jerildene was last seen on 10 June in Walmer Location. According to police, she had been staying at a friend’s house and later refused to return home before running down Wesleyan Road near the local clinic.
At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a peach-coloured jersey, army-pattern pants and black boots. She had reportedly changed into her friend’s clothing earlier that day.
The child was later allegedly spotted walking along La Roche Drive towards the Humewood area at about 21:00 on Thursday evening.
Police are following up on all available leads and urge anyone with information on Jerildene’s whereabouts to contact the nearest police station or the investigating officer immediately.
Authorities have appealed to the public to assist in bringing the young girl home safely.
