Fadiel Adams, the leader of the National Coloured Congress, is expected to appear before the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court in KwaZulu-Natal on Wednesday following his arrest by the Political Killings Task Team (PKTT).
Adams is facing serious allegations of fraud and obstruction of justice linked to the murder investigation of former ANC Youth League secretary-general Sindiso Magaqa.
He was taken into custody earlier this week, with authorities alleging his involvement in matters connected to the high-profile case.
Following his arrest, Adams raised concerns about his safety and claimed he was treated harshly by law enforcement officials.
Meanwhile, the National Coloured Congress has questioned the legality of the arrest warrant, with the party expected to challenge aspects of the arrest during ongoing legal proceedings.
The case continues to draw attention due to its connection to the long-running investigation into Magaqa’s murder
