Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has reportedly launched a R1 million civil defamation lawsuit against activist and former Ukhozi FM presenter Ngizwe Mchunu following controversial allegations made on social media.
The legal action comes after Mchunu allegedly claimed during an online interview with “King Zoso” that Malema received R60 million from Nigerian drug dealers in exchange for political protection of undocumented foreign nationals. The remarks were widely circulated on platforms such as TikTok and X (formerly Twitter).
Malema’s legal representatives are understood to argue that the statements are false, damaging, and have harmed his public reputation. The lawsuit seeks R1 million in damages for defamation.
In the letter, Malema demands Ngizwe to retract his statement and post it in all his social media platforms
