Musa Mthombeni has shut down cheating allegations circulating online, using humour to dismiss what he describes as baseless social media gossip.
The claims, which emerged from an anonymous post on X, quickly gained traction, alleging that Mthombeni had been unfaithful to his wife, Liesl Laurie-Mthombeni, during a trip to Thailand in late 2025.
While the rumours sparked widespread online discussion, Mthombeni criticised the spread of unverified information, taking aim at gossip accounts and so-called “hunger tweeting” — a term he used to describe attention-seeking posts lacking credibility.
He made it clear that he does not entertain claims from unverified sources and warned that repeatedly using the word “allegedly” does not shield individuals from potential legal consequences when spreading false information.
Reaffirming his stance, Mthombeni stressed that any claims contradicting his personal life, marriage, or career should be regarded as untrue.
