Popular musician and television personality Molemo ‘Jub Jub’ Maarohanye is set to return to the Germiston Magistrate’s Court in connection with charges of kidnapping and the unlawful discharge of a firearm.
Maarohanye was arrested on 14 June 2026 following an alleged incident involving an e-hailing driver in Edenvale, Gauteng. It is alleged that he confronted the driver over suspicions that the man was romantically involved with his girlfriend.
According to the allegations, a firearm was discharged during the confrontation. The driver was not injured and subsequently reported the incident to police.
The entertainer was later granted bail of R5,000 and released pending his next court appearance.
The matter is expected to return to the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where proceedings will continue as investigators pursue the case.
