Investigative Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) State Advocate Drushantha Ramsamy is expected to return to the witness stand at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry on Tuesday as the commission continues its probe into allegations surrounding the anti-corruption unit.
The commission is set to focus on IDAC-related matters for the remainder of the week, with Ramsamy’s testimony expected to continue after her previous appearance.
During her evidence, Ramsamy accused former IDAC head Andrea Johnson of misleading the commission during her testimony, raising concerns over Johnson’s version of events.
The commission is investigating allegations of interference, governance failures and operational challenges within law enforcement agencies, with evidence from current and former IDAC officials forming a key part of its proceedings.
