The testimony of Major General Lesetja Senona before the Madlanga Commission has been postponed after his legal representative fell ill.
The Commission confirmed that a new date for Senona’s appearance has not yet been set.
The postponement follows a legal standoff between the Commission and Senona’s legal team over issues relating to disclosure, procedure and whether he should testify. The impasse has since been resolved, paving the way for Senona to return to the Commission on a date that will be announced later.
Meanwhile, the Commission is expected to hear testimony from a new witness on Friday as proceedings continue.
