Two suspects aged 26 and 28 have been arrested after police discovered dagga worth an estimated R6 million during an operation in Graskop, Mpumalanga.

According to the South African Police Service, members attached to Graskop SAPS acted on a credible tip-off on Wednesday morning regarding a Toyota Quantum travelling towards the area.
Police deployed a patrol vehicle to monitor the route and later spotted the minibus before placing it under surveillance and stopping it.

During a search of the vehicle, officers allegedly found approximately 1,025.36 kilograms of dagga hidden inside.
The suspects were immediately arrested and taken into custody.

They are expected to appear before the Graskop Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of possession and dealing in dagga.
