The football community will gather on Thursday, 16 July, to honour late Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Jayden Adams at the Stellenbosch Town Hall.
Adams, who passed away on 11 July 2026 at the age of 25, will be remembered during two memorial services. The first, from 09:00 to 12:00, is a private ceremony for invited guests, while a second service at 17:00 will be open to the public.
The talented midfielder had recently represented Bafana Bafana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup before his untimely death.
Adams began his career at Stellenbosch FC, becoming the club’s first academy graduate to sign a professional contract. He made 139 appearances and helped the club win the 2023 Carling Knockout Cup before joining Mamelodi Sundowns in January 2025.
During his time at Sundowns, he won the Betway Premiership and the CAF Champions League, leaving behind a remarkable football legacy despite his career being cut short.
