Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana will present the 2026 Medium-Term Budget Policy Statement (MTBPS) in the National Assembly on Wednesday, 21 October.
The mini budget will outline government’s revised economic forecasts, departmental spending adjustments and plans to manage public finances ahead of the national budget in February 2027.
The statement allows Parliament and the public to assess government’s spending priorities, economic outlook and plans to balance service delivery with fiscal sustainability.
Godongwana will also table the Adjustments Appropriation Bill, which provides for changes to government spending allocations.
