Orlando Pirates have strengthened their attacking options ahead of the new season after completing the signing of Norwegian striker Sebastian Pedersen from Sogndal Fotball.
The 27-year-old forward has signed a two-year contract with the Buccaneers, with the club holding an option to extend his stay by a further season.
Pedersen becomes the latest addition to head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou’s squad as Pirates continue to reshape their team for what promises to be a demanding campaign on both domestic and continental fronts.
The striker arrives with an impressive goalscoring pedigree, having netted 51 goals in his last 117 appearances. Known for his clinical finishing and intelligent movement inside the penalty area, Pedersen has built a reputation as a lethal one-touch finisher capable of punishing the slightest defensive lapse.
His football journey began in Norway’s renowned youth development system, where he represented his country at every junior level from the Under-15s through to the Under-21s, highlighting his pedigree from an early age.
