Pre-trial proceedings are continuing at the Mdantsane Magistrate’s Court for four men accused of murdering former boxing world champion Zolani “Last Born” Tete.
The accused are Uzuzole Goqwana, 22, Sinebhongo Qase, 28, Siphesihle Kolisa, 28, and Athandwa Gangala, 27.
Tete was shot and killed outside his home in Mdantsane in August 2026. His girlfriend survived the attack.
The four men face charges of murder, attempted murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm as the case moves towards trial.
Goqwana, who is wheelchair-bound, is alleged to have masterminded the attack. He was denied bail in September.
Qase is alleged to have acted as a middleman in arranging the attack, while Kolisa and Gangala are alleged to have been involved as gunmen.
