Stellenbosch FC have strengthened their squad with the signing of Nigerian midfielder Lateef Adeyanju Kazeem on a free transfer ahead of their Betway Premiership clash against Kaizer Chiefs tonight.
The two sides will meet at FNB Stadium at 19:30, where Kazeem could make his debut for the Cape Winelands club.
Stellenbosch confirmed that all formalities for the signing were completed last month, with the midfielder joining from Nigerian Professional Football League side Plateau United.
Kazeem will wear the number 29 jersey and becomes the fifth Nigerian player to represent Stellenbosch, following Stanley Dimgba, Ibraheem Jabaar, Kazie Enyinnaya and Olisa Ndah.
His arrival adds to Stellenbosch’s midfield options as the club continues its Betway Premiership campaign.
