Advocate Andrea Johnson, the head of the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC), is set to appear before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry today over allegations of misconduct.
Johnson was initially scheduled to testify on 13 July 2026 but was unable to appear after being rushed to hospital.
The commission has heard evidence from witnesses accusing Johnson of interfering in an investigation into an assault case involving Major-General Feroz Khan, with claims that her actions compromised the investigation and undermined the integrity of the criminal justice system.
President Cyril Ramaphosa has expressed concern over the developments at IDAC and said he is closely monitoring the situation.
