Brazilian forward Brayan León proved to be the difference-maker, netting the decisive goal in the 35th minute to seal a 2-0 aggregate triumph for the Pretoria giants.
Sundowns showed composure and defensive discipline throughout the tie, controlling key moments and shutting out one of Africa’s most experienced sides to book their place in yet another continental final.
The victory cements Sundowns’ growing reputation as one of Africa’s dominant forces, as they now turn their focus to the final against Morocco’s FAR Rabat, with the first leg scheduled for 15 May 2026 in South Africa and the return leg on 24 May 2026 in Morocco
