The extortion case involving alleged Mpumalanga taxi boss Joe “Ferrari” Sibanyoni has been postponed to 20 October 2026.
Sibanyoni and his co-accused appeared in the Delmas Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday in connection with allegations of extortion and money laundering.
The accused are facing allegations linked to the extortion of more than R2.2 million in protection fees from a mining businessman.
The matter was postponed to allow the defence to receive outstanding documents and for further legal processes to be completed.
The accused remain on bail, with their bail conditions extended until their next court appearance.
They are expected back in the Delmas Magistrates’ Court on 20 October.
