At least 10 people were injured after a wall collapsed during foundation excavation work at eBuhleni Home in Inanda, KwaZulu-Natal.
Durban Metro Police Search and Rescue officers, alongside SAPS Search and Rescue, the eThekwini Fire Department and other emergency services, responded swiftly to the scene.
All 10 injured people were treated at the scene before being transported to hospital for further medical care. Search and rescue teams continue to comb through the rubble to ensure no one remains trapped.
The Durban Metropolitan Police Service extended its well wishes to those injured and praised emergency responders for their ongoing efforts to manage the incident safely.
