Two people have been arrested after police allegedly found dagga worth an estimated R9,000 during a crime prevention patrol in Senakwe Village, Limpopo.
Members of Mokwakwaila Police arrested a 36-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman on Thursday, 23 July 2026, after stopping a suspicious red VW Jetta at around 3pm.
Police searched the vehicle with the occupants’ consent and allegedly discovered dagga in the boot and on the back seat.
The suspects were unable to explain the origin of the drugs and were arrested on charges of possession of dagga.
Police also seized the dagga and the red VW Jetta believed to have been used in the commission of the offence.
The pair are expected to appear in the Bolobedu Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 27 July 2026. Police investigations are continuing.
