The Madlanga Commission has demanded answers from Bejani Chauke, former political adviser to President Cyril Ramaphosa, over his alleged communications and relationship with the late taxi boss Jotham “King Mswazi” Msibi.
Chauke has been served with a Rule 10.6 notice by the Commission, seeking clarification about communications between the two men dating back to 2022 and 2023, when Chauke was serving as Ramaphosa’s adviser.
His legal team has been given 10 days to respond to the notice, with the response expected by Friday.
The Commission is seeking answers as it continues its investigation into allegations of corruption and criminality involving members of the criminal justice system and other individuals.
Chauke’s response is expected to provide further clarity on the nature of his communications with Msibi and the issues raised by the Commission.
