Bafana Bafana will begin their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign when they face Guinea at Orlando Stadium on Saturday.
The Group D encounter will also mark the start of Pitso Mosimane’s second spell as head coach of the South African national team.
Mosimane returns to the position after replacing Hugo Broos and will be looking for a positive start as Bafana begin their latest bid to qualify for the continental showpiece.
South Africa have been drawn in Group D alongside co-hosts Kenya and Eritrea, with Kenya set to face Eritrea in the other group fixture.
The 2027 AFCON qualifiers got underway on Thursday, with Zimbabwe, DR Congo, Namibia, Ivory Coast and Cameroon all securing victories in their opening matches.
