A cosmetic procedure intended to enhance his appearance has been linked to the death of British-Nigerian influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo.
The 43-year-old died in Bangkok on 6 March 2026, a day after undergoing a penis enlargement procedure while on holiday with his wife.
Ubiribo reportedly developed chest pain before collapsing and was rushed to hospital, where doctors found that he had suffered a pulmonary embolism.
Despite efforts to save him, he died the following day.
A postmortem examination later carried out in the UK detected material in his lungs consistent with hyaluronic acid, which had been used during the cosmetic treatment.
An inquest found that the injections, which also contained lidocaine, had entered his bloodstream and travelled to his lungs, causing the fatal complication.
A coroner concluded that the cosmetic procedure carried out abroad caused Ubiribo’s death.
