South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada remained composed despite coming under early attack from teenage cricket sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi during an Indian Premier League clash between the Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans.
The 15-year-old Sooryavanshi grabbed headlines after becoming the fastest player to reach 100 sixes in T20 cricket. He achieved the milestone with consecutive sixes off Rabada before being dismissed for 36 runs by Mohammed Siraj.
Despite the early setback, Rabada bounced back strongly, claiming the key wickets of Rajasthan Royals captain Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shimron Hetmyer to finish with figures of 2 for 33.
The performance lifted Rabada to 18 wickets in the tournament at an average of 21.83 and briefly saw him take possession of the IPL Purple Cap before he was overtaken by Anshul Kamboj of the Chennai Super Kings.
