Kempton Park residents to protest as four women’s deaths spark fears

Kempton Park residents are expected to picket outside the police station following the discovery of multiple women’s bodies in the area, raising fears among community members.

Four women’s bodies have reportedly been discovered in Kempton Park over the past two months, with the latest body found near York Street on Saturday.

The developments have intensified the search for 38-year-old Elizabeth Mokolo Moselakgomo, known as “Tsontso”, who went missing after leaving her Rhodesfield home for an afternoon run.

Acting National Police Commissioner Lieutenant General Puleng Dimpane has established a multidisciplinary task team to investigate the cases and determine whether the deaths are connected.

The task team includes specialised police units and will investigate possible links between the cases.

SAPS has not confirmed claims that a serial killer is operating in the area, although investigators are probing possible connections.

Police are appealing for information on Moselakgomo’s whereabouts. Anyone with information can contact Warrant Officer Elvis Manyike on 082 465 7249.
