Media personality and musician Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye is expected to return to the Germiston Magistrate’s Court on Monday after a warrant for his arrest was issued when he missed a previous court appearance.
Maarohanye reportedly failed to appear after allegedly falling ill. He faces charges of discharging a firearm in a public place and pointing an object resembling a firearm at an e-hailing driver in Edenvale on 14 June.
The driver allegedly escaped unharmed and reported the incident to police.
Jub Jub was arrested and later secured R5,000 bail through an urgent application to the Johannesburg High Court.
The matter is expected to continue in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
