Two African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) members have been shot dead and three others injured in a shooting in Katlehong, Ekurhuleni, on Tuesday evening.
The shooting took place shortly after a memorial service for an ANC member had concluded, when a gunman allegedly opened fire on a group of mourners.
The deceased were aged 21 and 23.
One suspect has handed himself over to the police following the fatal shooting of two victims.
The suspect is in police custody as investigations continues
Police have launched an investigation into the incident, with the Gauteng Political Killings Task Team involved in the case.
