Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the brutal killing of seven family members in KwaZulu-Natal, marking a significant breakthrough in the ongoing investigation.
Police confirmed that the arrests were made following a tip-off from a domestic worker who reported a break-in at the victims’ home in Newark. This information led to a swift police operation that resulted in the apprehension of the suspects in Durban.
The victims, aged between 20 and 80, were allegedly abducted from their home and later found in a veld in Melmoth, about 150 kilometres away. Authorities say the victims were shot and stabbed, with one female victim also reportedly raped.
Investigators believe the suspects may be linked to the kidnapping, murder, and robbery of the family. More arrests are expected as police continue to follow leads.
The suspects are expected to appear in court soon, facing multiple serious charges as the investigation intensifies
