A 48-year-old police Sergeant stationed at Ixopo in Kwazulu-Natal is expected to appear before court for the alleged murder of his pregnant girlfriend.
Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) Spokesperson Robbie Raburabu, says the body of the 34-year-old victim who was expecting triplets was discovered a week ago on the side of the road.
“She was last seen on Sunday the 13th of August, in the company of the 48-year-old Sergeant.
“The victim, identified as Busisiwe Ngubo was reportedly strangled and left on the side of the road.
“Her body was discovered a kilometer from her home on Monday the 14th of August.
The Sergeant’s home was searched a stash of dagga and other exhibits were confiscated and he will therefore face additional charges, said Raburabu”
