Bafana Bafana have arrived in Egypt ahead of their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying clash against Eritrea.
South Africa travelled to Cairo after opening their Group D campaign with a 2-1 victory over Guinea, giving Pitso Mosimane’s side an early boost in their qualifying campaign.
Bafana will face Eritrea at the Al-Salam Stadium in Cairo on Wednesday, with the team looking to build on their opening victory.
The squad will remain in Egypt after the qualifier as preparations continue for a friendly against the hosts at Cairo International Stadium on 4 October.
The trip gives Mosimane an opportunity to maintain momentum in the qualifiers while also assessing his squad ahead of the upcoming international fixtures.
