Kaizer Chiefs continued their strong start to the Betway Premiership season with a convincing 2-0 victory over Sekhukhune United on Wednesday night.
The match remained goalless for much of the contest before Luke Baartman broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute, giving Amakhosi a crucial lead.
Chiefs continued to push for a second goal and were rewarded late in the match when Mduduzi Shabalala found the back of the net six minutes before full-time.
The 2-0 victory secured another important three points for Chiefs and lifted them to the top of the PSL standings.
The result will further boost Amakhosi’s confidence as they look to maintain their impressive early-season form and mount a serious challenge for the league title.
