Four suspects linked to the murder of world champion boxer Zolani Tete are appearing in court as police investigations into his killing continue.
A 22-year-old suspect is appearing before the Mdantsane Magistrate’s Court today on charges of murder and attempted murder. The attempted murder charge relates to a 27-year-old woman who was wounded in the attack and remains in hospital.
Two other suspects arrested in Scenery Park are expected to appear before the KuGompo Magistrate’s Court on charges of unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition. Three suspects aged 27, 27 and 28 are also expected to appear before the Mdantsane Magistrate’s Court on 25 August for the main murder case.
A 30-year-old man who was initially apprehended on 22 August has since been released and remains a potential witness as investigations continue.
