Businessman Suliman Carrim is expected to appear before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry on Friday, 14 August 2026, after several postponements.
Carrim allegedly suffered a heart attack in April and has reportedly been declared medically unfit to testify before the commission.
He has been implicated in the SAPS Medicare24 tender matter and is being investigated in connection with multi-million-rand transactions.
The commission has ordered Carrim to appear in person and called for an independent medical assessment to determine whether he is fit to testify.
His evidence is considered important to the commission’s investigation into alleged political influence and interference in the controversial tender process.
