Police have seized drugs worth an estimated R11 million during a vehicle stop-and-search operation on the N2 in Riviersonderend.
The operation took place at about 10:35pm on Tuesday, 25 August 2026, when police stopped a black Nissan Tiida.
A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of 87 packets of Mandrax tablets, 16 packets of uncut crystal meth and two blocks of cocaine in the boot.
A 37-year-old foreign national man was arrested for possession of drugs.
He is expected to make his first appearance in the Caledon Magistrates’ Court once he has been charged.
