The murder and extradition case against alleged triple murderer Ndodana Tshuma has been postponed to 8 and 10 September.
Tshuma, 45, appeared briefly in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, where the matters were postponed.
The British-Zimbabwean national is wanted in the United Kingdom in connection with the alleged murders of his wife, Nothabo Zandile Tshuma, and their two daughters, Natalie and Nala. The family lived in Great Denham, near Bedford.
Tshuma allegedly fled the UK shortly before the bodies were discovered. He was reportedly seen at Heathrow Airport before travelling to South Africa, where he was arrested in Johannesburg with the assistance of Interpol.
In South Africa, Tshuma is facing a separate charge of unlawful possession of a firearm. He has abandoned his bail application and remains in custody.
The murder allegations will be dealt with through the extradition process, which is intended to facilitate his return to the UK to face the charges there.
