The South African Police Service (SAPS) Crime Intelligence at National Head Office, together with the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI), has uncovered another suspected multi-million rand drug manufacturing laboratory at a farm in Krugersdorp, Gauteng.
Police raided the premises and discovered quantities of Mandrax and ecstasy tablets, which are believed to have been manufactured at the suspected clandestine laboratory.
Five South African nationals found on the premises were arrested during the operation.
The discovery forms part of ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to dismantle illicit drug manufacturing operations and disrupt organised criminal networks involved in the production and distribution of drugs.
