Four suspects hunted after ATM bombing in Limpopo

Police in Limpopo have launched a manhunt for four suspects after two ATMs were bombed at a filling station in Kheshokhowe, in the Bolobedu policing area.

The incident happened in the early hours of Monday, 5 October 2026, when the suspects allegedly detonated explosives at the two ATMs several times before escaping with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Both ATMs were extensively damaged in the blast.

SAPS members from the Explosives Unit, Detectives, Crime Intelligence and the Tracking Team were deployed to the scene and are working to identify and locate the suspects.

Police have opened cases of malicious damage to property and contravening Section 28 of the Explosives Act 26 of 1956.
