An alleged associate of suspended Crime Intelligence deputy head Major-General Feroz Khan has been shot dead in Ekurhuleni, in a shooting that is being investigated as a possible targeted attack.
The motorist was reportedly attacked on the R21 near Griffiths Road, while travelling in the direction of OR Tambo International Airport on Monday.
A passenger who was travelling with the man was also wounded during the shooting.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been officially released, and police have yet to establish the motive for the attack.
Khan’s testimony is expected to be heard in camera, meaning members of the public and the media will not be permitted to attend the proceedings.
